Chipping Camden in The Cotswolds

A BEAUTIFUL MARKET TOWN LOCATED IN THE HEART OF THE COTSWOLDS, CHIPPING CAMPDEN IS A CLASSIC EXAMPLE OF THE STUNNING ARCHITECTURE THAT CAN BE FOUND IN THIS AREA OF OUTSTANDING NATURAL BEAUTY.

WHY WE LOVE IT...

As well as having a very elegant High Street full of lovely shops this town has a great array of hotels, guest houses, B&B's and of course places to eat - perfect for a spot of lunch, a refreshing drink or even afternoon tea. Many of which have achieved excellent awards. The surrounding country does not disappoint, making a wonderful place to walk off a long lunch or an early walk across the rolling hills. Highlights include the Silk Mill (home to the world renowned Guild of Handicrafts), The Market Hall (built in the 17th century and now owned by the National Trust) and The Woolstaplers Hall (built in 1340 it was a wool exchange and attracted merchants from all over the world who came in search of Cotswold fleeces).

THINGS TO DO...

There are some fantastic walks available around the town itself with views over the surrounding rolling countryside and a number of similar towns with the usual Cotswold charm and stone architecture for which this area is renowned. These include Stow-On-The-Wold, Chipping Norton and Kingham to name just a few. You won't be disappointed!
