Spring Blooms & Blossoms

Spring has sprung

I love this time of year, with the rebirth of beautiful Spring blooms and blossoms. And the promise of warmer days to come. (Still waiting!) I’ve loved my walks through bluebell woods with the dogs, driving through the Cotswolds with endless fields of yellow oil seed rape stretching for miles, and all the beautiful blossom out on the trees. The lilac seems to be particularly special this year, and as I get my inspiration for my candle fragrances from the nature that surrounds me in abundance, I might well add lilac to my list of future smells!

New fragrances

But it hasn’t all been about lovely ambling walks. It’s been a time of experimenting with new products to add to the Cotswold Candle Company range.  I’m about to introduce two new fragrances. Grapefruit, which is zesty and fresh and so uplifting it can’t fail to put you in a good mood. And Cassis & Rose. For anyone that knows me they’ll know I’m obsessed with one candle in particular – Diptyque Baies. I’ve tried to recreate this scent in my own candles by combining roses and blackberry leaves, and I think I’ve got pretty darn close! I hope you’ll all love it as much as I do.

I’m going to be adding miniature candles, which will also be available to buy as gift sets. And larger three and five wick candles, but these are still very much a work in progress!

What's next?

I’m also going to be adding reed diffusers to the mix. I’m a recent convert to reed diffusers having always preferred the warm glow of a candle, but I have to say they are pretty fab and a great way to make your room smell heavenly all the time, not just when a candle is lit.

Keep an eye on the website for all new products, but with all these things, they seem to take time to get off the ground!
